Dr. Brenda King, Clinical Psychologist in Grand Forks, ND

Dr. King graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Prior to becoming a psychologist, she worked as an RN. She is licensed as a clinical psychologist in North Dakota and Minnesota . She provides assessment and individual psychotherapy services to individuals from childhood through adult years. Her training is in both CBT and psychodynamic therapy. She has training and experience with hypnosis and EMDR. Areas of interest include treatment of anxiety, mood disorder, trauma, behavior health and eating disorders.

Jonathan Whalen, Ph.D. is a Clinical Psychologist, working with adults and adolescents ages 16 and up. Ms. Tara Shirek has practiced as a social worker since 1997. She graduated with a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of North Dakota and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Her training includes CBT, DBT, TF-CBT and Play Therapy. She provides play therapy for children, ages 4 – 12, as well as adolescent and adult individual therapy. Her treatment areas include mental health assessment and treatment planning for mood disorders (depression, anxiety, adjustment); ADHD; trauma; child welfare, foster care and adoption; Posttraumatic Stress Disorder; emotional dysregulation issues; chronic mental illness; and parent/child conflict and family issues.

Ms. Amanda Jimenez graduated from the University of Texas-Arlington with a Master of Science in Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Ms. Jimenez provides individual and family therapy for ages five through adulthood. She is trained in CBT, BSFT, play therapy, solution-focused therapy, and behavioral therapy. Ms. Kate Dusenbury graduated in 2004 from the University of North Dakota with a Master of Science in Social Work. She is a Licensed Independent Social Worker and provides individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Ms. Talia Telander received a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from the University of North Dakota and is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education which reflects her holistic approach to counseling. She provides therapeutic services to individuals from age 6 and up. Talia has many years of experience working with families, children, couples and adolescents. She has specific experience addressing parenting concerns and childhood behavior problems with an emphasis on the adolescent years. Sheryl Holter Vogel, PhD is a Licensed Psychologist who provides treatment and assessment for adults. She specializes in couples therapy and individual psychotherapy for adults with chronic pain, insomnia, gender identity, anxiety, mood disorders, and adjustment post-stroke and/or prolonged physical rehabilitation hospitalization. Dr. Holter Vogel received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Dakota and completed her pre-doctoral internship at VA Black Hills Health Care System in Fort Meade, South Dakota. She completed her post-doctoral residency at Lipp, Carlson, Witucki & Associates in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Dr. John Campbell, Clinical Psychologist in Grand Forks, ND

John Campbell, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who graduated from the University of North Dakota and completed his residency at the UND University Counseling Center. As a licensed psychologist, he primarily works with adults and has a generalist background, sensitive to individual and cultural differences, with broad training in therapy using an integrative approach with expertise in several different types of therapy. This includes cognitive behavioral therapy (a treatment of choice for many different concerns, such as anxiety, panic, OCD, depression, and stress), schema therapy (ideal for personality disorders, long-standing mental health difficulties, and relationship problems), motivational interviewing (ideal for specific behavioral changes, such as weight loss or internet and video game addiction), dialectical behavior therapy (excellent for borderline personality disorder and self-harm/suicide), and EMDR (ideal for treating trauma and PTSD). He also incorporates mindfulness and acceptance and commitment therapy which address various mental health concerns while supporting a person's efforts to improve their quality of life and increase values based living. Dr. Campbell conducts psychological assessment with adolescents and adults. He also provides outreach and education.
