  • Biofeedback- We utilize HeartMath Biofeedback. HeartMath helps change the response to stress by giving clients tools to build new ways of responding to stress and anxiety and build increased resilience and stress tolerance. This biofeedback uses self-regulation techniques to override and transform patterns of psychological, behavioral and physiological stress responses.
  • EMDR – Eye Movement Desensitization. EMDR therapy is an interactive psychotherapy technique used for treatment of trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). A central component of the treatment is bilateral stimulation of the brain through eye moments or other sensory stimulation. It is designed to lessen the effects of emotions and memories. Clients often find it more tolerable, and find it provides quicker relief than traditional methods of treating PTSD.
  • DBT – Dialectic Behavior Therapy.  DBT is a form of cognitive behavioral therapy that teaches skills to live in the moment, cope with stress, regulate emotions, and improve relationships. We don’t offer formal DBT training programs. We do have options for individual skills training and can incorporate DBT into the broader context of therapy.
  • CBT – Cognitive Behavior Therapy . CBT is a short-term, goal-oriented psychotherapy treatment that takes a hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving. Its goal is to change patterns of thinking or behavior that create stress and difficulty to help clients feel better and be more effective in their life.
  • TF CBT – Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy. TF-CBT is a structured, short term variation of CBT that focuses on overcoming patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving that result from the effects of trauma in early life. Treatment is generally used with children and adolescents and includes the caregiver.
  • IRT – Interpersonal Reconstructive Therapy.  TF-CBT is a structured, short term variation of CBT that focuses on overcoming patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving that result from the effects of trauma in early life. Treatment is generally used with children and adolescents and includes the caregiver.
  • Hypnotherapy/Hypnosis . Hypnosis is a technique used in therapy that involves focused attention, reduced peripheral awareness and increased ability to respond to suggestions for alterations in physiology, sensation, emotions, thoughts and behaviors. Hypnosis can be useful for a wide variety of conditions including pain, health problems, behavioral change, and anxiety related disorders.
  • Motivational Interviewing. Motivation Interviewing is a short term empathetic therapeutic approach to help clients explore and resolve ambivalent feelings towards behavioral change. It can help with finding and creating the internal motivation to make desired or needed changes.
  • CPT – Cognitive Processing Therapy. CPT is a specific type of cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients learn to modify and challenge unhelpful beliefs related to trauma. During this structured treatment, clients create a new way to understand a traumatic event to reduce the negative effects in life.
